| Summary: | The Senior Estimator will oversee all aspects of developing cost proposals/bid packages. The focus in the position will be on Fixed Price Heavy Civil /DOD/ Wind Energy BOP construction, including Build-to-Print and Design/Build projects. Experience in all aspects of Heavy Civil construction required. Organization, attention to detail, the ability to work within tight time constraints and under pressure, and the ability to work within a proposal team are all important for proper performance of the required duties. Experience with Hard Dollar estimating software (or similar) and Microsoft Office Excel and Word, and scheduling software (P3 preferred) required. Experience with INSITE digitizing software, and Microsoft Project a plus. Responsibilities will include management of and performance of all facets of bid preparation, review and comprehension of RFPs, Specifications and Drawings, breakdown of scope of work into definable tasks (WBS development), development of work crews and production rates for performance of required tasks, performance of material takeoffs to define quantities of work, RFQ development/solicitation/review and comprehension of subcontractor/supplier quotes, development of Review Packages and conducting senior management reviews, CPM scheduling, project cash flow analysis, and proposal unit rate development and closeout. Responsibilities will also include oversight and management of estimating assistants and additional project estimators for large proposals.
